The story

Control Ultimate Edition contains the main game and all previously released Expansions ("The Foundation" and "AWE") in one great value package. Winner of over 80 awards, Control is a visually stunning third-person action-adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What it’s like

Brutalist concrete corridors under flickering fluorescent tubes, with the Oldest House's shifting architecture rendered in sudden bursts of red and amber light, and a restless, paranormal atmosphere that feels like a government building haunted from the inside. Its sound is a low hum of ventilation, distant radio static and an unsettling, reverberant score that swells during fights, so quiet exploration stretches into long, uneasy stretches of silence. The mood is eerie and dystopian, a tense unease softened by the wry, deadpan tone of its office-bureaucracy setting. Combat is fast and kinetic: telekinetic objects fly across rooms, and the player's reshaping of physics gives action a sharp, weighty feel in the hands, with gunfights that are stylized and bloody rather than grim. Violence is frequent, mostly stylized combat against supernatural enemies, with some gore and eerie, creeping dread. The pacing alternates between brisk set pieces and slow, wandering investigation, and the story follows a guarded protagonist gradually uncovering the truth about her place in a strange institution. For players who enjoy atmosphere-driven action, unsettling environments and a stylish, cinematic sense of mystery.
