The story
Two teen ghosts work alongside a clairvoyant to solve mysteries for their supernatural clientele — until a powerful witch complicates their plans.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated colour against moody night-time gloom: a Gothic-noir city of gaslit alleys, rain-slicked streets and pastel-lit nightclubs, shot with a restless handheld energy and playful pop-art inserts that nod to the comic-book source. The vibe is irreverent and offbeat, with a dark-fantasy undertow that keeps brushing up against sadness. Scenes are quick and chatty, with snappy banter and sudden tonal swerves from gallows humour to something tender, and the score leans on eclectic needle drops and punchy synth. The emotional register is wry and warm, centred on two dead teens and a living friend learning to trust one another and to live with what they have lost. Suits a late-night binge, a fun weekend watch, or a comfort rewatch when you want something stylish and weird without being too heavy. Violence is present, including supernatural horror and some gore, and there are occasional sexual references and some strong language, though the overall tone stays playful. For viewers who like mystery with a mischievous streak, found-family stories, and ghost stories that are funny as well as creepy.
