The story
As a killer named Cinderhella stalks the student body at the high school in Grizzly Lake, a group of co-eds band together to survive while they're all serving detention.
What it’s like
Hyperkinetic and candy-colored, with saturated primary palettes, glossy digital sheen, and rapid cuts that jump between pop-music music videos and slasher set pieces. The look is deliberately overstyled: split screens, onscreen text and graphic inserts, sudden freeze-frames, and a restless handheld energy that never settles into a calm shot. The soundtrack is loud, bright pop and synth-driven, with sharp stingers that undercut every scare. Its vibe is manic, self-aware and scrappy, the sort of teen horror spoof you watch with friends on a loud Friday night rather than alone in the dark. Pacing is fast and jittery, and the emotional register swings between sincere-feeling teen anxieties and gleeful gags about genre clichés. The group of outsider students slowly learns to trust one another, a loose arc of misfits becoming a team. Violence is frequent and cartoonish, with stylized kills and bloody splatter rather than lingering gore; there is some sexual innuendo and teen-movie crudeness, and the fear is more jolt than dread. It suits viewers who want a playful, over-the-top slasher parody with a neon, music-video sheen.
