The story
Set in a dystopian future, Full Void is a 2D cinematic puzzle platformer telling the story of a young teenager alone in a hostile world controlled by a rogue artificial intelligence. Fight your way through puzzles and obstacles to uncover the story that surrounds this broken, crumbling society where only children are still free. But for how long? A pure hand-drawn pixel-art adventure that will keep you on your toes from the very beginning, with a few jump-scares and a thrilling atmosphere but still suitable for all ages as it does not feature any gore or violence. Full Void is a spiritual successor to classic cinematic puzzle platformers such as Prince of Persia, Another World (Out of This World) and Flashback, with a modern twist, innovative visual and gameplay mechanics. Along with traditional puzzles, you can use your hacking skills to interact with elements of the game and make your way through this hostile world full of implacable, faceless creatures continuously one step behind you.
What it’s like
Hand-drawn pixel art in cold, low-contrast palettes: steel blues, sickly teals and the occasional hot warning-red glow of a machine, set against grimy industrial corridors and crumbling concrete. Light comes from screens, sparks and far-off emergency lamps, so rooms feel dim and watched. Sound leans on a sparse synth pulse and mechanical hums that drop away into quiet, which makes each footstep and distant clank land hard. The vibe is bleak but taut: cyberpunk unease with a restless, cinematic edge, best suited to a late evening alone or a focused session on a long trip. Pacing is deliberate, built around trial-and-error puzzles and tense chases where something faceless is always one step behind. Emotionally it follows a lone teenager gradually uncovering what happened to a society that has left only children free, so the register is isolated and determined rather than hopeless. Intensity is low: a few sudden jump-scares and plenty of threat, but no gore and no violence on screen. It suits players who enjoy classic cinematic platformers like Prince of Persia or Flashback and want atmospheric tension they can play without any graphic content.
