The story
A big-city dentist opens up a practice in a close-knit seaside village, home to a charming jack-of-all-trades who is her polar opposite in every way.
What it’s like
Sun-bleached seaside daylight, with the harbor's blue water, fishing boats bobbing against the quay, and low tiled rooftops crowded into a fishing village where everyone knows everyone. The camera lingers on sunny streets, market stalls, and cosy interiors, and the palette is warm and airy with pops of bright color. Music is light and bouncy, with a playful Latin rhythm threading through the everyday scenes. The pace is easygoing and episodic, with comedy that comes from small town quirks and gentle friction between two very different people, and the emotional register stays warm, teasing, and sincere as their rapport grows over time. There's no real violence, and the romance stays sweet and PG. Good for a lazy weekend, a comfort rewatch, or background while cooking. It suits viewers who want an optimistic, neighborly romcom with sea air and a lot of heart.
