The story

Six teens attending an adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar must band together to survive when dinosaurs wreak havoc on the island.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated 3D animation with sun-washed jungle greens, glossy water and warm golden light through the canopy, and dinosaurs rendered with convincing bulk. The camera swoops in sweeping flyovers and tracks tightly through ferns during chases. The score mixes big orchestral swells with bouncy adventure cues that loosen up during quieter camp scenes, and the giants' footsteps land as deep percussive thumps. The vibe is breezy summer-camp adventure with a creature-feature jolt, playful most of the time and tense in bursts. Episodes move briskly, each ending on a hook. Intensity is moderate: dinosaur attacks, frightening chases, some injuries and peril, with little visible gore and no sexual content. The story follows a group of strangers slowly becoming a team, with friendship, first crushes and a queer storyline handled warmly. It suits a family afternoon, a weekend with kids, or a comfort rewatch for fans of the films who want something lighter.
