The story

Lorelai, a brand new emotional horror ride from the maker of The Cat Lady and Downfall, tells a coming of age story of a young girl trying to escape the hell of her toxic family home. But adulthood is like waking up from a long dream. There will be times you will wish you were asleep again... But you can never go back to the same dream.

What it’s like

Muted, dreamlike scenes shift between a cramped home and an unsettling surreal space, with the mood of a half-remembered nightmare. The look leans on bleak, storybook-like imagery, and the soundtrack stays sparse, so quiet rooms feel heavier than any jump scare. The vibe is melancholic and uneasy, a slow, sad unease that slides into surreal horror. Pacing is deliberate: point-and-click puzzles give you time to sit with each space, and the mood tightens as you go. Its intensity sits in psychological dread and disturbing imagery rather than gore, though its themes of domestic cruelty, death and loss are heavy throughout. It suits a late evening alone or a single focused session with headphones on. The story follows a young girl finding her way out of a damaging home and into the uncertain shape of growing up. It is for players who want a haunting, emotionally weighty game with surreal horror and a melancholic, coming-of-age ache.
