The story

Lunacid is a first person dungeon crawler inspired by old FROMSOFT games like Shadow Tower and King’s Field.

What it’s like

Dim, moonlit stone and murky greens give Lunacid the look of a half-remembered dungeon, with low-resolution textures, chunky pixel-edged enemies, and a hazy fog that swallows distant corridors. Its sound is sparse and eerie: long stretches of hollow wind and distant echoes, broken by heavy, clattering combat hits and the low hum of a lantern-lit crypt. Exploration unfolds in a slow, deliberate rhythm, with you feeling your way through twisting passages, testing each shadowed doorway, and returning to bonfire-like save points to regroup. The vibe is lonely, mysterious dread with a stubborn, quiet sense of progress, best suited to a late evening alone or a patient session with headphones on. Combat is tense and punishing, with fast-escalating danger and enemies that can overwhelm an unprepared traveller, though the violence is stylised and bloodless, with more clatter than gore. The fear is atmospheric rather than graphic. It is made for players who want a demanding, old-school first-person dungeon crawl, rewarding careful study, and who enjoy the slow unease of getting lost in the dark.
