The story
The movie is about how the global pandemic forces a prostitute to change her medium of work onto a digital platform and how her relationship with her son is affected
What it’s like
Grounded domestic drama set during the pandemic, when lockdown pushes a woman's work into an online space and strains her bond with her young son. The emotional register is intimate and interior, following a mother and child through money pressure, secrecy and the everyday strain of a home that has to hold everything at once. Its sexual subject matter is handled as a backdrop to family life rather than as spectacle, but its specific visual style, sound and level of on-screen intensity are not something this description can vouch for. It suits viewers who want a character-driven drama about mothers, pandemic-era hardship and the quiet costs of survival, rather than escapism or light comfort viewing.
