The story
Starring the world’s most iconic Super Hero, Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing with parkour and utilizing the environment, to new combat and blockbuster set pieces, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before.
What it’s like
Golden-hour light pours across a sprawling Manhattan rendered in glossy, saturated detail, its skyscrapers glinting and its streets crowded with pedestrians and traffic, while the city turns to dusk and neon as night falls. The camera swings low and fast through the air during web-swinging, so the traversal feels weightless and kinetic, then settles into tight, cinematic framing for quieter conversations on rooftops and in apartments. The score is orchestral and heroic, built on brass swells and driving strings during fights, softening to warm, wistful melodies in between. Its vibe is bright, exhilarating and big-hearted, with a comic-book sense of play that rewards long evening sessions and a restless itch to move through a city. The pacing alternates between fast, acrobatic combat and wandering open-world exploration, with quieter story beats giving breathing room. Emotionally it is earnest and warm, following a young hero balancing his personal life against heavy responsibility. Violence is stylised and punchy, with martial-arts style brawls and armed villains, and some tense, peril-driven moments, but no gore. It suits players who want a confident, feel-good superhero adventure with spectacular movement and a glowing sense of New York.
