The story

On a trip to India, Jasmeet's father forcefully marries her off to Arjun. However, when they return to London, Jasmeet announces her intention of marrying her boyfriend, Charlie Brown.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated Bollywood studio color meets glossy London street-level comedy: sunlit Indian wedding sets in marigold, saffron and deep red, then cooler English interiors, grey London drizzle and terraced-house warmth. The camera is energetic and broad, with sweeping crane moves, lively musical staging and playful, theatrical framing built for big smiles rather than quiet observation. Music carries much of the feeling, with upbeat dance numbers and sentimental ballads that swell without cynicism. The vibe is light, cheerful and warm-hearted, a crowd-pleasing romantic comedy that feels like a Sunday afternoon with a big family around the table. Pacing is brisk and bouncy, with comic misunderstandings and affectionate banter, and the emotional arc follows a reluctant husband and a headstrong bride slowly finding common ground and humor in an awkward situation. Intensity is low: mild farce, a little slapstick, romance kept light, no violence, no gore, and nothing frightening. It suits viewers who want a feel-good, colourful romance for a weekend, a comfort rewatch, or a film to share with family, especially those who enjoy Hindi cinema's music and cross-cultural charm.
