The story
An eager young rookie joins the ragtag small-town police force led by his dad as they bumble, squabble and snort their way through a big drug case.
What it’s like
Hand-drawn 2D animation in flat, saturated colour: sunny bright palettes of pastel blues, greens and warm yellows over cartoon small-town streets, with cheap-looking backdrops and bold, simple character outlines. Scenes are staged like a sitcom, with mostly static two-shot framing, quick cuts between bickering characters and deadpan reaction close-ups, and a bouncy, rubbery movement that leans into exaggerated slapstick. The sound is a jaunty brass-and-whistle theme over cartoon stings and a lot of mouth-dropped crosstalk. The vibe is goofy, irreverent and overgrown-kid chaotic, suited to a lazy weekend afternoon or a light evening with friends, when you want something that rambles and doesn't ask much of you. Pacing is brisk within each episode, with frequent gags and raunchy, adult-leaning jokes, and the tone stays cheerfully crude rather than tense. The emotional throughline is a rookie trying to earn his father's respect while the squad stumbles from one mess to the next. Intensity is moderate: drug use, sexual innuendo, crude humour, and cartoon violence with slapstick injuries, but no real gore and nothing frightening. It is for viewers who enjoy adult animated sitcoms that prize absurdity and chaos over plot.
