The story

A decrepit orphanage known as Playcare sits beneath the once magical toy factory. You must make your way through this haunted place, solving new puzzles and avoiding the nightmares that lurk within the dark. Answers lie between the blood-stained bedsheets and screaming echoes... If you can survive.

What it’s like

Dim, grimy industrial corridors lit by flickering fluorescents, sickly greens and toy-factory pastels gone grey and rusted, with the camera held close at first-person height so every shadow feels near. The sound design does much of the work: distant metallic clanks, muffled machinery hum, sudden stingers and echoing, childlike whispers that seem to come from just behind you. Pacing is stop-start, a stretch of tense exploration and cautious puzzle-solving broken by sharp scares, with long quiet moments in between where the dread builds. Its mood is unsettling and nervous, a mix of playful toy-box whimsy and grim, creeping wrongness, the kind of tension that makes you hesitate before opening every door. Intensity is high on fear and jump scares, with moderate blood-stained imagery and frightening creature encounters; violence is present but stylised rather than graphic gore, and nothing here is sexual. Best suited to players who enjoy first-person horror puzzlers, the kind of experience you'd tackle late at night with headphones on, and not a good fit for anyone seeking something gentle or low-stress.
