The story

Dimension of the Machine is a brand new experience created by the MachineGames team. Continue your fight through brand new dimensions, figure out the secret to restarting the machine, and come face to face with an old foe.

What it’s like

Dim, rust-brown corridors lit by sickly green machinery and pulsing red warning lights, with organic, fleshy growths creeping over cold metal, give this a grimy, industrial-occult look. The camera stays in first person, so the framing is kinetic and close, with wide arena rooms opening suddenly into cramped, claustrophobic passages. The sound is loud and physical: shotguns crack, machinery grinds and hums, and low, churning drones build under the fights before giving way to brief lulls of eerie quiet. Its vibe is hard-edged and relentless, a dark, sweaty rush that suits a late-night session alone with headphones on or an evening of old-school arcade-style play. The pacing is fast and reactive, built around strafing, circle-jumping, and clearing rooms, with secret areas rewarding curious exploration. Gore is frequent and explicit, with enemies bursting apart in heavy bloodshed and body horror imagery, and the scares come from sudden ambushes and dread rather than quiet suspense. It is violent throughout and not suited to anyone seeking something gentle. It is made for players who want a brutal, fast, old-school shooter with a moody, decayed atmosphere and a taste for dark, grotesque spectacle.
