The story
Newly-weds Rehaan and Shaina move to Romania after the former is offered a job. When Shaina senses paranormal activity around her, she learns that her husband is harbouring a secret from her.
What it’s like
Dim, moody interiors and a wintry, snow-dusted Romanian setting give this Bollywood horror its chilly, claustrophobic look, with shadowed corridors, flickering lamps, and pale exteriors that feel isolated from the rest of the world. The camera leans on push-ins, sudden reveals, and close framing on a woman's uneasy face, and the sound design lives on sharp stings, creaking silence, and a moody score threaded with romantic melody. The vibe is glossy, melodramatic unease: a marriage under strain, with the dread building through suspicion and secrets more than sustained gore. Pacing is brisk with frequent jolts, and the emotional register swings between romantic sentiment and jump-scare panic. Its people are a young couple whose trust slowly curdles into fear, one partner forced to face what the other has kept hidden. Intensity: moderate. There are scares, eerie supernatural menace and some peril, with violence that is brief and not graphic, and romantic scenes that are sensual but not explicit. It suits a late-night watch with the lights low, and it's for viewers who want Bollywood-style supernatural thrills with romance and melodrama woven through.
