The story
Forced to give up playing guitar when her mother remarried a rich real estate tycoon, Lilisa Suzunomiya's passion for music reawakens when she meets Otoha Kurogane, her seemingly perfect classmate who is secretly a heavy metal drummer!
What it’s like
Bright, clean animation with daylight in school classrooms and hallways, shifting into dim rehearsal rooms where stage lights and amplifier glow take over. The vibe is playful and warm with a bittersweet undertow, suited to a lazy afternoon or an easy evening with a snack. The comedy runs on awkward social moments and the gap between a polished school image and a loud hidden life, while the drama moves at a steady pace, letting guarded feelings surface in quiet beats between the louder scenes. The soundscape leans on guitar and drum energy: punchy band performances and heavy riffs set against gentle everyday dialogue. Violence is absent. Tension comes from social embarrassment, family pressure, and nerves before a performance, so it stays light. The core arc follows a girl who rediscovers music through an unlikely friendship and slowly lets herself want something again. It is for viewers who enjoy high school comedy with music at its heart, girl band stories, and characters learning to be honest about what they love.
