What it’s like
Bright, chunky isometric parks rendered in the bold, cheerful pixel-sprite style of late-nineties PC strategy, with tiny guests in primary-coloured shirts wandering paths of sunlit tarmac and leafy green lawns. Coaster tracks snake across the landscape in saturated loops and drops, and the camera drifts smoothly over the layout as you sculpt terrain and place scenery. The soundscape is a light, bouncing theme of xylophone-like tunes and cheerful ride chatter, with the clatter of coaster cars and the bubbling noise of the crowd filling the background. The vibe is warm, busy and gently competitive, a sunny weekend at a fair that you get to design yourself. Play unfolds in unhurried sessions, with long stretches of tinkering with layouts and watching queues and balance sheets settle, punctuated by quick bursts of construction. Its intensity is entirely gentle: no violence, no gore, and the only tension is a dipping bank balance or a guest complaining about queues.
