The story
Set in the Special Crimes Unit of the Mumbai Police, Revolving around DCP Rudraveer Singh, who is under the system’s radar despite being one of its best minds at work.
What it’s like
Dim police bullpens, fluorescent-lit interview rooms, and rain-slicked Mumbai streets at night set the tone, with the city's noise and traffic pressing in from outside. The mood is tense and procedural, a steady grey-brown palette broken by the occasional flash of colour, and the score leans on low, pulsing undertones that build during interrogations and chases. Its pace is measured, with long stretches of talk and surveillance punctuated by sharp bursts of action. Its emotional register is brooding and serious: a sharp, under-pressure man who is distrusted by his own institution, and the slow, costly unravelling of his position. Crime violence and murder appear across the episodes, sometimes brief and sudden, with grim aftermath more than gore, and there are intense interrogations and threats. It suits a late evening watch, a focused binge over a few nights, or anyone who likes gritty police investigations, morally complicated officers, and tense, dialogue-driven suspense rather than anything gentle or cosy.
