The story
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer, the Core Four are back in the killer's crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.
What it’s like
Loud, bright and fast, with broad slapstick timing and a deliberately cheap-sounding horror-movie pastiche underneath. Expect a slasher setup lit and framed the way genre parodies usually are, with the scares undercut by pratfalls, gags and quick cutaways rather than sustained dread. Crude sexual jokes come often and without apology, and the violence reads as cartoonish and comic rather than grim. The overall vibe is rowdy and irreverent, best suited to a group watch or a night when you want to laugh at a genre you already know. The emotional register stays playful, with reunion-style warmth among the returning cast and frequent detours that break the fourth wall or stop for an animated bit. It is intense in its raunch and in its mock-violence, but gore and fear are secondary to the jokes. It is for viewers who enjoy spoofs, sketch-style absurdity and the Wayans family's brand of unfiltered, rude comedy, and less so for anyone wanting something gentle or suspenseful.
