The story

Cindy finds out the house she lives in is haunted by a little boy and goes on a quest to find out who killed him and why. Also, Alien "Tr-iPods" are invading the world and she has to uncover the secret in order to stop them.

What it’s like

Bright, flat, overlit sitcom-style lighting with a glossy studio finish, the kind of cheap digital sheen that makes every room look like a set. Camera work is brisk and point-and-shoot: wide master shots that hold for a beat so the gags can land, quick zooms onto a reaction face, and frequent cutaways to a sight-gag in the background. Sound is a loud, cheerful pastiche of horror stingers, slapstick sound effects and recycled pop, with near-constant punchline timing and little room for quiet. The vibe is goofy, sugary and irreverent, a rowdy Friday-night laugh rather than a scare. It suits a loose group watch, a silly late-night rewatch, or something to put on when you want to switch your brain off. Intensity is high on crude humour: frequent sexual jokes, bodily gags, bathroom and drug references, and cartoonish slapstick violence that never feels real. There is fake gore and jump-scare parody but no real dread. People who enjoy broad, raunchy spoofs of horror films and celebrity cameos will find it at home; anyone seeking gentleness or subtle humour should look elsewhere.
