The story

4 mental patients formulate the plan to rescue their kidnapped doctor and teach the kidnappers a lesson.

What it’s like

Bright, flat studio light and broad, saturated colour make this feel like a hand-me-down Bollywood comedy, with the hospital corridors and asylum rooms lit for big, readable gags. The camera stays mostly conventional: medium two-shots, reaction close-ups, and quick cuts when the slapstick kicks in. The sound is loud and busy, with bouncy comic scoring, exaggerated sound effects and dialogue delivered at full volume. The mood is a cheerful, chaotic goofiness, the kind that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a group watch with friends or a light evening when you want to switch off. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with the energy coming from the ensemble's wild schemes and their rowdy back-and-forth rather than any slow build. The central arc follows four eccentric misfits who decide to take matters into their own hands, and their gradual camaraderie gives the broad humour a warm, affectionate centre. Intensity is low: kidnapping and police corruption sit in the background, with comic beatings and mock-menace rather than real brutality, no gore, and only mild crude jokes. It suits people who want silly, good-natured fun with a cast of quirky characters, and who are not after anything dark or intense.
