The story

After an accident that sidelined her, Luna returns to her beloved Jam & Roller. Putting on her skates again won't be easy, especially when a hidden villain's plan starts to complicate her life. She'll also face a dilemma, torn between old flames. Amidst songs, adventures, and reunions with friends, Luna will have to overcome many obstacles to fulfill her dream.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated colour and upbeat pop songs set the tone, with the rink's glitter and rolling-disco energy doing most of the visual work. Dance numbers and skating sequences give the show its rhythm, so it moves in bursts of music and motion between quieter scenes of friends talking and reuniting. The vibe is cheerful, warm and familiar, the kind of show to put on for a bright weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or background while tidying up. Its emotional register is light and hopeful: a young woman working her way back to something she loves, with romance, friendship and a little mystery woven through. The stakes stay low, the villain plot is more nuisance than menace, and nothing graphic is suggested, so it suits anyone wanting something gentle and joyful. It is aimed at teens and young adults, and at fans of the original who want more of its music and skating.
