The story

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is a sequel to the blockbuster RPG Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Players continue to enjoy the title's emotionally compelling and story-driven theme, additions to features such as new characters, classes, locations and force powers as well as a deeper look into the founding lore.

What it’s like

Dusty, sun-bleached ruins, neon-smeared cantina alleys and cold, echoing starship corridors, all framed by a pulled-back isometric camera that makes each location feel like a lit diorama. Outdoor light is harsh and flat, while interiors turn warm and amber, and the soundtrack thins to a melancholy hum of machinery and distant blaster fire. Combat can be paused mid-fight to issue orders, so skirmishes feel deliberate rather than frantic. The mood is brooding and wistful, a long solitary journey through decaying worlds and political rot, where conversations often matter as much as the set pieces. It suits a long evening alone with headphones, a slow weekend session, or a cold night when you want to lose yourself in a bleak, reflective galaxy. Violence is frequent and sometimes sudden: lightsaber duels, executions and deaths land with real weight, blood is shown sparingly, and dialogue carries some dark cruelty. Its arcs follow a fallen hero and an uneasy band of companions working through betrayal, grief and compromise. Best for players who want a story-heavy, character-driven RPG with a bleak, thoughtful edge.
