The story

A desperate banker needs to conceal stolen money. A Haitian-American gang lord wants to go legit. A Cuban-American hacker has an idea that will revolutionize the very future of money itself. Forced to work together, they unwittingly create their version of the American dream - organized crime 2.0.

What it’s like

Hazy Miami light bleeds through blinds and sliding glass doors, with humid daytime glare giving way to neon-washed nights over Biscayne Bay, and the palette runs warm turquoise, sunset orange and the cool blue glow of laptop screens. The camera is mostly handheld and close, lingering on sweat, cramped offices and the hum of server rooms, while the score leans on synth pulses and tense, restless electronic beats. The vibe is sun-bleached unease, hungry and slick, with a steady crime-thriller pace that tightens into bursts of threat. Violence is present and sometimes sudden, with gunfire and menace more than gore, and there is some profanity, drug and sexual content, and tense confrontations throughout. The people are compromised outsiders chasing a shot at something bigger, their uneasy partnerships shifting under pressure. It suits late-night binge viewing for fans of crime drama who enjoy morally grey characters and the glamour of big-money schemes.
