The story

The Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game features the same lively co-op gameplay, creative levels and power-ups as the original game, but with added improvements. In the Super Mario 3D World part of the game, characters move faster and the dash powers up more quickly. Both adventures support the newly added Snapshot Mode, pause the action to get the perfect shot, apply filters, and decorate with stamps!

What it’s like

Bright, saturated toy-box colour set against clean, readable geometry: sunny beaches, lush jungle canopies, glowing pastel stages and, in the second half, a sun-scorched island under a bruised orange sky where the light turns harsh and dramatic. The camera sits at a comfortable distance and lets you watch the whole level breathe, with small cartoon details bouncing and wobbling under a brisk, cheerful orchestral and chiptune soundtrack. The feel in the hands is springy and forgiving, with running and jumping that snap crisply and power-ups that make each stage feel like a new toy. Vibe: playful, sunny, quietly joyful, with a flicker of kaiju-scale spectacle when the giant Bowser looms over the island. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a couch session with friends or family, or a relaxed evening with a controller and a bowl of snacks. Pacing is brisk but unhurried, with bite-sized stages that invite one more try. The tone is warm and lighthearted, with cartoon peril that stays comic. Violence is mild and stylised: enemies are stomped or bonked away with no blood and no gore, and failure is a cheerful puff of smoke. Snapshot Mode adds a gentle, creative streak for anyone who likes framing their own pictures. Made for families, co-op pairs, and anyone wanting a bright, low-stress platformer.
