The story
The PlayStation Portable port of Tekken 6. Tekken 6 is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Games. It is the seventh main installment in the Tekken franchise.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated arena stages with crowds and bold arcade lighting, and fighters rendered in glossy, slightly stylised 3D that reads crisp even on a small handheld screen. The sound is punchy and percussive: heavy impact thuds, grunts and shouts, and looping electronic-tinged stage themes that pulse under each round. Pacing is brisk and rhythmic, with short bouts that rise to quick, intense flurries and then reset, so it suits short sessions on a commute, a lunch break or a late-night solo run through the story mode. The vibe is energetic, competitive and a little cheeky, with hand-to-hand combat that is stylised and cartoonish rather than grim. Violence is constant but bloodless and exaggerated, with bruised fighters, dramatic knockouts and stylised finishing moves, and no gore to speak of. Players drawn to martial arts spectacle, character-driven rivalries and button-mashing combos with real technical depth will find the most here, while anyone wanting something gentle or contemplative should look elsewhere.
