The story

Tetris Effect: Connected adds an all-new robust multiplayer expansion to the huge variety of addictive and innovative single-player modes that Tetris Effect is known for. Connect and play with or against each other in all-new modes like "Zone Battle," which shakes up traditional 1-on-1 Tetris gameplay via the time-stopping Zone mechanic, or try the innovative co-op of "Connected" mode, where up to three players can literally connect their Tetris playfields together and play as one, as they work together to take down a series of increasingly-challenging CPU-controlled bosses.

What it’s like

Luminous and dreamlike, with blocks that burst into light, dissolve into particles and ripple outward through every stage. Each zone is a self-contained world: a glowing jungle canopy, a neon-veined ocean, a sunlit desert of stone arches, all rendered in saturated, shifting palettes that pulse in time with the soundtrack. The score is layered and ambient, swelling electronic and orchestral textures that rise as your stack grows and fall into soft, hypnotic loops when the board clears. In VR the playfield floats around you, so the falling pieces feel close enough to touch, and the whole thing has a meditative, weightless calm even at speed. Vibe: euphoric, gently trance-like, a dreamy flow state. It suits a late evening alone with headphones, a comfort session on the couch, or a longer stretch in a headset where you want to drift. Pacing is driven by the player, with fast, focused puzzling that never quite tips into panic. The intensity is very low: no violence, gore or fear, just the mild tension of a rising stack. Co-op and versus modes add friendly competition without any hostility. Made for puzzle lovers who want beauty as much as challenge, and for anyone who wants Tetris to feel like a light show.
