The story

Dyad is an arcadey tunnel racing puzzle game with a heavy emphasis on quick movement, reactive bright neon visuals, creating colorful music soundscapes, and sensory overload. Players are given the ability to "Hook" and "Graze" enemies in the tube to fill up their "Lance" meters, which they can expend to "Lance" enemies forming combos and increasing their momentum. Over the course of 27 levels the game introduces enemies with varying sets of characteristics, and items which can change the rules mid-game leading to mechanical complexity.

What it’s like

Pulsing neon tubes wrapped around a dark void, with bright geometric light rushing toward you in hard, saturated bands of violet, cyan and hot pink. The visuals are abstract and psychedelic, shapes flaring and dissolving in time with a dynamic electronic soundtrack that rises and drops with every hook and lance, so the music feels like it is steering the ship. Motion is constant and fast: a tight tunnel-racing rhythm where you snap between lanes, grab enemies, and chain combos until the screen floods with colour and sound. Its mood is hyper-focused, euphoric and a little overwhelming, closer to a sustained high than to calm. Intensity is low on gore and cruelty; the conflict is stylised, abstract and cartoony, with no realistic violence, though the sensory overload and speed can be intense for some. It suits a late-night session with headphones, a warm-up before a run, or a stretch of focused play. It is for players who want rhythm, flow and a dense, fast arcade rush.
