The story
Two destined lovers battle supernatural forces, family ties, and nature itself to defend their forbidden romance in a mystical world where ancient powers and prophecies threaten to keep them apart.
What it’s like
Dark forest nights lit by lantern and torch, with mist-heavy hill-village exteriors and bursts of bright, saturated colour in festival and song sequences, give this the feel of a fairy-tale fable shot for the big screen. The sound leans on booming, percussive scoring, sudden stings and sharp silences, with comic beats that puncture the dread every so often. Its vibe is playful spookiness with a romantic core: a cheeky, crowd-pleasing horror comedy that suits a group watch on a weekend night or a cinema outing with friends. The pacing is brisk and jokey, the tone warm and irreverent, and the central couple's arc follows two people who keep choosing each other against the odds. Horror is moderate: some bloody supernatural violence and creature attacks, startling jump scares and a few grisly moments, but the comedy keeps it light rather than harrowing. It is not gentle, but it is never punishing. It is for people who want laughs, romance and a few good jolts in a mythic, folkloric setting, and who are happy with a lot of noise and colour.
