The story

While in his teens, Donny fathered a son, Todd, and raised him as a single parent up until Todd's 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd's world comes crashing down when Donny resurfaces just before Todd's wedding.

What it’s like

Bright, evenly lit studio comedy with flat sitcom-style coverage, wedding-season sunshine, and bland suburban interiors, scored with upbeat pop cues that jump in for each gag. The vibe is loud, crass and deliberately uncomfortable: a raunchy odd-couple comedy to watch with friends on a lazy weekend or as a loud late-night rewatch with low expectations. Pacing is brisk and joke-driven, with set-piece humiliations and scenes of drinking, a strip club, and a prison visit. Sexual content is frequent and explicit in its talk, with jokes about age gaps, a teacher and student, and an older woman's advances, and the incest-adjacent premise is played for shock rather than tenderness. Violence is minor slapstick and bad-taste mishaps, with no real gore, but the crudeness is constant and often lands as cringe. The emotional register swings between sentimental and sneering, with a rough, reluctant bond between a washed-up father and his stiff, buttoned-up son. It suits viewers who want irreverent, unfiltered raunch and don't mind their comedy being mean-spirited and uneven, not anyone seeking something gentle.
