The story

In an inaccessible place between the mountains and isolated from the world, a school is located next to an old monastery. The students are rebellious and problematic young people who live under the strict and severe discipline imposed by the center to reintegrate them into society. The surrounding forest is home to ancient legends, threats that are still valid and that will immerse them in terrifying adventures.

What it’s like

Cold, misty mountain light and a muted palette of grey stone, damp pine green and institutional beige give this Spanish teen drama a chilly, withdrawn look, with the old monastery looming over the school courtyard like a dare. Shots lean on wide establishing views of the isolated campus, long corridors and dim dormitories, and the forest at the edge of the frame feels close enough to press in. The sound design favours wind through trees, creaking floors and sparse tense strings that rise when the legends start to seem real. Its vibe is brooding and uneasy, a cold-weather mystery with an undercurrent of school-story rebellion. It suits a dark evening with the heating on, or a binge where you want atmosphere more than comfort. Pacing is steady, with the rhythm of teen rivalries and rule-testing building toward eerie, supernatural threat. The emotional register is tense and sometimes raw, and the young characters' arcs follow defiance giving way to grudging solidarity under pressure. Intensity is moderate: frightening scenes and peril, some scuffles and rough discipline, with occasional violence and no graphic gore. It is for viewers who enjoy spooky, moody teen drama and folklore-tinged suspense.
