The story
The Templeton brothers — Tim and his Boss Baby little bro Ted — have become adults and drifted away from each other. But a new boss baby with a cutting-edge approach and a can-do attitude is about to bring them together again … and inspire a new family business.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated computer animation in a glossy, cartoonish house style: sunlit suburban interiors in candy pinks and cornflower blues, bouncy character design, and fast, busy frames packed with gadgets, slapstick and sight gags. The sound is an upbeat orchestral score with pop-rock needle drops, punctuated by sudden cartoon sound effects and a lot of chatter. Its vibe is bright, goofy and warm, a family comedy that plays like a sugary Saturday-morning treat. The pacing is brisk and cheerful, with little downtime between jokes, and the emotional register stays light: an estranged pair of grown brothers slowly rediscovering each other through a wacky mission. Intensity is low: some slapstick tumbles, mild peril and cartoon chaos, with no real violence, gore or sexual content, and nothing frightening beyond a few mildly tense moments. It suits family movie nights, a sick-day watch for kids, or a light background comedy for adults wanting something sweet and undemanding. It is for families with younger children and for adult viewers who want an easygoing, gently silly animated comedy about siblings.
