The story

This time, there's no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-bleached Las Vegas and the washed-out highways around it, shot with flat daylight and hotel-neon glare that makes casino carpets and pool decks look slightly garish. The camera stays fairly conventional, with brisk cutting, wide establishing shots of the Strip, and handheld chaos during the chase set-pieces, while the score leans on bouncy comic-caper music and pop needle-drops. The vibe is loud, sardonic and deliberately unhinged, a sequel that knows its own premise has run out of road and leans into the absurdity. It moves at a hard, restless clip with frequent gags and escalating set-pieces, and the emotional register stays brash and cynical, with the three leads drifting through mounting disasters and a few tender beats about their friendship buried under the noise. Its humor is crude and profane, with strong language, sexual jokes, drug and alcohol use, and a fair amount of slapstick violence, bloody mishaps and some peril, but no real gore or sustained cruelty. It suits a loose Friday night with friends or a laugh-out-loud comfort watch, and it's for people who want raucous, irreverent comedy and don't mind a messy, mean-spirited edge.
