The story

A father doesn't want his three daughters to get married. Now, it's up to three men to try to and convince the father that they're a good fit for his daughters.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated frames and glossy digital polish make this feel like a loud, gaudy stage play, with wide, busy compositions that hold a crowd of performers in a single shot. The palette leans on primary colours, candy-pink and turquoise costumes, and sunlit country-house interiors, while the camera mostly stays still so the physical gags can play out in full. The score is bouncy and brass-heavy, with big dance numbers that stop the story cold and a steady stream of pop-song energy between scenes. Pacing is frantic and farcical, with doors slamming, mistaken identities piling up and set pieces building toward a chaotic finale. The tone is cheerfully overheated, a lightly romantic screwball caper rather than anything tender or quiet. Intensity stays low: slapstick tumbles and cartoonish scuffles, some sexual innuendo and suggestive banter, no real gore and little genuine menace. It suits a Friday night with friends, a group watch that needs no concentration, or a comfort rewatch when you want noise, colour and laughter. It is for people who enjoy big ensemble farce, broad physical comedy and Bollywood spectacle, and who don't mind their comedy loud.
