The story

The Henry Stickmin Collection is a Newgrounds choose-your-own-path classic, reborn and revitalized. This 6-game epic culminates in multiple entirely canon, extremely different endings. Each step of the journey has you choose from options such as a Teleporter or calling in your buddy Charles to help you out. Correct choices will move the story forward, but incorrect choices lead to a fail. If you get to the end on your first try, you're doing it wrong. Failing is half the fun.

What it’s like

Crisp flat vector art in bright primaries, with stick figures drawn in clean, bold outlines against simple, saturated backdrops: banks, prisons, bases, a space station, a tank. The soundtrack is cheerful and jaunty, a bouncy chiptune-flavoured score that cuts out sharply the moment you choose wrong and the screen flashes into a fail sequence. Play is short, punchy and deliberately repetitive, a loop of choosing, dying, and trying a different option, with each run landing in a quick animated gag before the next attempt. Its vibe is goofy, irreverent and brisk, the kind of thing for a restless evening, a dip-in-and-out session while the kettle boils, or a shared couch game where everyone shouts suggestions. Violence is cartoonish and constant but bloodless: characters explode, get shot, or are blasted into comic oblivion, with no real gore and nothing lingering. The mood is mischievous rather than tense, and the humour leans on internet culture and in-jokes. It suits players who enjoy trial-and-error puzzles, absurd dark comedy, and the thrill of finding every ending.
