The story

Lead the revolution with an army of flamethrowing Boars, mustard gas-lobbing Skunks, and paratrooper-puking Owls. Tooth and Tail is a Real-Time-Strategy game featuring Single Player, Online Competitive Play, Split Screen, Replays, and more. Build a base, lead your army, eat your enemies!

What it’s like

Chunky hand-drawn sprites on a dusty, warm-toned farm and pasture, with scorched earth, grass tufts and bright splashes of explosion colour that read clearly at a glance. The look is scrappy and cartoonish rather than polished, with a lively rural-revolt energy: animals scurry, charge and fling bombs across tight, top-down battlefields where every skirmish feels like a scramble. The soundtrack leans on bouncy, brass-tinged tunes with a rousing edge, punctuated by squelchy hits and comic squeals. Its vibe is scrappy, cheeky and combative, a rowdy fun that suits an evening with friends or a quick match after dinner. Pacing is brisk and tactical, with short bursts of base building and tense, frantic clashes; the arc of its underdog animal armies, rising against a human-run order, carries a playful sense of triumph. Violence is cartoonish and frequent: flamethrowers, gas clouds and explosions knock units out in a puff of feathers and fur, with no real gore and no sexual content, though the tone is loud and mildly chaotic. It suits strategy fans who want an accessible, funny RTS, and anyone who enjoys a rowdy couch or online party game.
