The story

A group of young adults who met online are mercilessly hunted by a shadowy deep state organization after they come into possession of a near-mythical cult underground graphic novel.

What it’s like

Saturated, graphic colour and hard shadow define this series: sickly yellows, flat pastel interiors, and a heavy use of close, unsettling framing that keeps faces crowded at the edge of the screen. Its sound leans on an eerie, percussive electronic score with sudden silences, so a mundane suburban room can feel like the start of a nightmare. The mood is paranoid and surreal, with a dark, comic-book sheen and a steady sense that something is watching. The violence is frequent and sometimes brutal, including graphic gore, torture, and disturbing cruelty, and the sexual content is present but not the focus. Pacing is tense and jagged, with long stretches of dread broken by sharp, shocking turns. The arc follows a small group of strangers bound together by a shared secret who slowly learn how far they can trust each other. It suits viewers who want a cult-flavoured, conspiracy-driven thriller and can handle a steady diet of horror and bleakness, and it is not a fit for anyone seeking something gentle.
