The story

As a serial killer stalks the city, Julia — a young actress who just moved to town with her husband — notices a mysterious stranger watching her from across the street.

What it’s like

Cool, sodden Bucharest-style grey and amber interiors, shot in a tight, watchful way: Julia's apartment seen through glass and across courtyards, long unbroken takes of a woman pacing rooms that feel too large and too quiet. Light is mostly lamplight, dusk through blinds, and the cold blue of a window at night, with the city's traffic and distant sirens filling the gaps where the score would sit. The score is sparse and tense, with low drones and occasional stings that keep you braced. Vibe: unsettled, claustrophobic, slow-burning dread, the kind that makes a dark window feel occupied. Pacing is deliberate, building through small repeated gestures rather than action. Violence is present but restrained: a few brief, sharp moments including a decapitation, mostly suggested off-screen, with more menace than gore. Sexual content is minimal. A woman isolated in a new city, slowly losing trust in what she sees and in the husband who doesn't quite believe her. For viewers who want psychological thriller atmosphere, voyeuristic unease and a steady, nerve-tightening mood, not a gory slasher.
