The story
Forced to flee her underground sanctuary for Earth’s surface, Eva discovers a world unlike anything she expected. As she journeys across perilous terrain and unknown civilizations, Eva searches to answer the ultimate question: Is she the last human?
What it’s like
Bright, saturated 3D animation with rounded character designs and wide, sun-washed alien landscapes, where the sky often looks bigger than the ground beneath it. The palette runs warm: ochres, teal foliage, pale pinks at dusk, and a robot companion whose glowing parts add small pops of color. Camera moves are sweeping when the story opens up and close and intimate in quieter moments between characters. Sound leans on buoyant orchestral swells and playful electronic textures, with bursts of wonder and some tension when creatures or strange machines appear. The vibe is hopeful and adventurous, suited to a weekend family watch, a shared afternoon with kids, or a light, hopeful comfort watch. Intensity stays mild: peril and a few scary moments, but no gore and little real cruelty, with dread kept brief and resolved quickly. Its emotional arc follows a young girl learning to trust the unfamiliar and find her footing among strangers, with a steady, optimistic pace. It is for viewers who want an earnest, gentle sci-fi adventure full of curiosity and kindness, for families and for adults who enjoy all-ages animation.
