The story
In order to increase his monthly allowance, Veer lies to his stepbrother Dharm about being married. When Dharm unexpectedly arrives in Goa, he mistakes Prem's wife for Veer's. This case of mistaken identities leads to chaotic and hilarious situations.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated daylight over Goa's beaches, hotel courtyards and crowded streets, with loud colour in the costumes and sets and the easy glare of a seaside holiday. The camera moves briskly, with quick cuts, snappy reaction shots and set-piece song numbers that break the momentum for a few minutes at a time. The score is upbeat and percussive, with Hindi pop tracks and a lot of comic sound effects. The vibe is breezy, goofy and chaotic: a cheerful caper for a lazy afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or something to put on while doing something else. The rhythm is fast and built on escalating misunderstandings, and the emotional register stays light, with its characters' deceptions played for laughs. Fights and stunts are broad, cartoonish slapstick with no gore, though there is some staged brawling and bodily comedy, and the sexual content stays suggestive and mild. Suited to viewers who want a noisy, colourful mistaken-identity farce with music and big performances, and who don't need subtlety.
