The story
Arjun and Pyare are two police officers witha friendly rivalry, who get framed for various crimes being committed by their doppelgangers.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated studio colour and broad, theatrical lighting, with the sun-drenched look of late-1990s Bollywood: gaudy sets, sweeping crane shots, and wide frames built to hold dancing crowds, chase convoys and slapstick pratfalls. The sound is loud and busy, with brassy filmi songs, big orchestral swells, and comic sound effects punching up every gag. Its vibe is boisterous, cheerfully over-the-top and goofy, the kind of crowd-pleaser that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a family movie night, or a light-hearted pick when you want to laugh without thinking too hard. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with frequent song breaks and set-piece comedy that keeps the energy high. Emotionally it stays warm and playful: two proud rivals slowly learn to respect each other while the mix-ups escalate. Violence is cartoonish and stylised, with fight scenes full of exaggerated punches and stunts, but nothing graphic; there is no gore, and the romance is chaste and gentle. It is for people who want big-hearted, silly, music-filled entertainment and a few easy laughs.
