The story

Shruti and Bittoo decide to start a wedding planning company together after they graduate from university, but romance gets in the way of business.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated Delhi wedding colour throughout: marigold yellows, deep reds, the glitter of sherwani embroidery and banquet-hall chandeliers, shot with bustling handheld energy at the festivities and softer, warmer light in the quieter scenes between the two leads. Dhol beats, brass band swells and bhangra-pop numbers drive the wedding sequences, while the lulls leave room for gentle acoustic cues. The rhythm is brisk and playful, built around set-pieces of dancing, bickering and elaborate ceremonies, with a romantic comedy's easy give-and-take tilting toward something more reflective later on. The mood is warm, cheerful and mildly bittersweet, a lighthearted, sociable watch for a weekend afternoon, a group night in, or a comfort rewatch when you want colour and music. Intensity is low: some tension and emotional strain, a few heated arguments, no violence or gore, and romance kept fairly chaste. For people who want a joyful, romantic comedy with music and spectacle, and a grounded, character-led story about ambition and love.
