The story
A young man who stands for the right discovers that he's destined to do bigger things, which will transform him from a common man into a Superhero.
What it’s like
Grimy, sodium-lit Mumbai streets, cramped flats and government corridors shot in flat fluorescent grey, with handheld camera that stays close to its restless young hero as he moves through crowds and rain-slicked lanes. The palette is muddy and desaturated, broken by the occasional saturated flash of costume or neon, and the sound design leans on traffic, sirens, and thudding street-level noise, with a restrained, pulsing score that swells during confrontations. The vibe is earnest and cynical at once: a sardonic political thriller that treats its comic-book premise with a wry, deadpan seriousness. The pacing is brisk in the action passages and loose and conversational between them, with long dialogue scenes that let the mood breathe. Violence is present and rough: brief but physical fights, some blood, and sharp moments of cruelty around corruption and intimidation, though nothing is drawn out for spectacle. It suits a late-night watch with the lights low, or anyone who likes socially minded genre films where idealism meets a compromised world. Its people are ordinary and bruised, and the arc follows a stubborn idealist slowly confronting what his principles will cost him.
