What it’s like
Bright, cartoonish anime sprites sit over flat painted school interiors in saturated primary colors, and their exaggerated expressions snap into sharp close-ups during accusations. Screens flash with comic-book punctuation and swirling motion lines, giving the whole look a glossy, high-energy twist on traditional visual novel art. The soundtrack leans on bouncy, theatrical tracks that turn tense and driving when a trial begins, while quieter scenes between classes settle into a light, chatty hum. Pacing is set by dialogue: long stretches of reading and cross-examination, broken by sudden reveals and dramatic pauses. Tone swings between playful camp and grim mystery as a cast of students slowly uncovers secrets and fears. Violence is present and sometimes bloody, shown in stylized illustrations of crime scenes and deaths, with dark themes and some cruelty, though nothing is realistic in motion. It suits a late evening at the PC for players who enjoy whodunit deduction, bright absurdity with a dark streak, and puzzles built on talk rather than action.
