The story
The Literature Club is full of cute girls! Will you write the way into their heart? This game is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed.
What it’s like
Bright pastel anime art gives way to something unsettling: a school literature club rendered in soft pinks, cream and lavender, with clean sans-serif text boxes, cheerful chiptune-style music that slowly warps and stutters, and glitch effects that creep in as the screen starts to misbehave. Most of the time you sit with stills and dialogue, reading at your own pace, typing poems and choosing lines in a calm, cosy rhythm, then the atmosphere curdles into dread, distorted sprites and abrupt silences. Its vibe is sweet-then-sour, a cosy visual novel that turns on you. The intensity is strong and unrelenting in its later stretches: frank depression, self-harm and suicide themes, graphic and disturbing imagery, and jump-scare-style horror, with some sexual and romantic content in the early chapters. Not gentle, and not for anyone easily disturbed. It suits players who enjoy a meta, unreliable-narrator mystery, fans of psychological horror that plays with the fourth wall, and those who want a short, replayable experience that rewards close reading and curiosity.
