What it’s like
Dark, militant fantasy played out on a grid of contested ground, with a grim, campaign-driven mood rather than anything cozy. Turn-based tactics set the rhythm: slow, deliberate turns, menu-led decisions, and the steady build of forces and position, so the pace is measured rather than reflexive. The register is hard and often cold, shaped by themes of empire, rebellion and a human world reordered by new power. Intensity is substantial. Warfare and combat involve violence, enslavement is a central theme, and the adult version includes explicit sexual content, so this is not gentle. It suits focused evenings alone, when there is time to plan several turns in a row.
