The story

Generations of gamers have battled the demonic hordes of Diablo, and now it’s your turn to take part in the action-RPG legacy. This Eternal Collection features Diablo III, the Reaper of Souls expansion set and the Rise of the Necromancer pack—all together in one definitive volume. Prepare yourself, mortal hero. The hellgates are opening.

What it’s like

Dark, saturated fantasy with gothic cathedral stonework, ember-orange fire and sickly green poison glows against deep shadow, and a camera pulled back far enough to show hordes swarming across ruined hillsides and crypts. Its soundtrack is a brooding, choral-tinged orchestral score that swells when hellgates open, while the clatter of loot drops, the crunch of melee and the dull thud of skeletal hordes fill the gaps. The vibe is grim, rhythmic and mechanically satisfying, a dark-fantasy power trip best suited to long evening sessions, weekend hours with friends, or a steady solo grind with headphones on. Combat is fast and constant, a loop of clearing packs, collecting gear and pushing into harder zones, with cutscenes punctuating the action. Violence is frequent and stylised: monsters burst into gore-tinted splashes and demonic cruelty runs through the setting, but it reads as heightened fantasy rather than realistic horror, with little sexual content. Expect a steady pulse of tension rather than sustained dread. It suits players who love action-RPG loot chases, co-op play with friends, and a rewarding, high-intensity power fantasy.
