The story

A series of shorts that follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar’s “Up.” Each short features everyday events that occur in Dug's backyard, all through the exciting (and slightly distorted) eyes of our favorite talking dog.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated 3D animation in the Pixar house style: sunlit suburban lawns, clean daylight, soft shading on fur and grass, and a warm, toy-box palette that never looks gloomy. Each short is a few minutes of tight, cheerful staging, with the camera settling low and close to the ground so the backyard reads as enormous from a dog's height. Dug's perspective colours everything, with exaggerated reactions, wobbly focus when his attention scatters, and quick, bouncy cuts that give small domestic moments a sense of big adventure. The sound is light and playful: a bit of bright orchestral score, squeaks, splashes, and Dug's own enthusiastic chatter. The vibe is sunny, goofy, and warm, with low stakes and a sweet, uncomplicated heart. It suits a lazy weekend morning, a quick break with kids, or a gentle comfort watch when you want something silly and bright. The intensity is minimal: slapstick tumbles and mild mishaps, with no violence, no fear, and nothing frightening. It is made for anyone who loves Dug from Up and wants more of his easygoing, daft company, or for viewers who want something gentle, funny, and undemanding.
