The story

Yee-haw, Cowboys! Team up in this chaotic 4-player co-op shooter. Journey to the Far Far West to blast monsters, sling spells, complete missions, and collect bounties. Work as a team to get in, get paid and get out (mostly) alive.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-bleached desert and saloon-town colour, with the sharp contrast of dusty orange sand against cartoonish gunsmoke and magic bursts, reads as a playful, chaotic western. The sound is a loose mix of twangy honky-tonk strings, gunfire pops, spell whooshes and the clatter of monsters tumbling through wooden doors, all bouncing around a lively but unfussy soundtrack. Frantic and cheerfully messy, it moves in short bursts of skirmish, pause, loot and skirmish again, with the rhythm set by how fast a squad can clear a town. Its tone is goofy and loud rather than grim: think a tall-tale western filtered through fantasy creatures and crackling spells, with the bluster of cowboys who are mostly out for a payday. The violence is cartoonish, stylised shootouts and monster-busting with no gore or lingering cruelty, though the screen is busy and fast enough to feel hectic. It suits a noisy night with friends, a co-op session on a weekend, or anyone wanting a light, silly shooter. It is for players who enjoy chaotic team play, loud arcade energy and a break from anything heavy.
