The story

Fear & Hunger 2: Termina is oppressive, relentless and hopeless. A mix of jRPG and Survival Horror. Turn-based combat meets resource management. 3 days to explore the wicked town of Prehevil and find out about its dark secrets. 3 days until the pale and sickly green moon rises at its apex. Termina is upon us!

What it’s like

Grimy 2D sprites in sickly greens, bruised purples and rust-brown, with a pale green moon hanging over every scene, so the whole world feels like it is slowly rotting under sick light. Rooms are cramped and claustrophobic, drawn in a flat, almost storybook style that turns grotesque at the edges: bodies, wounds and mutated figures sit in the frame without flinching. Sound is a low, droning ambient mass with sudden stingers and long stretches of unsettling quiet, broken by the clatter of turn-based combat. Pacing is punishing and deliberate; resources run thin, every choice has a cost, and the three-day countdown never lets the dread lift. Its vibe is oppressive, hopeless and bleak, a sour, unrelenting horror best met in long dark sessions rather than as background company. Intensity is high: frequent gore and grotesque violence, drug use, abuse, and sexual violence and nudity that are part of the story's cruelty, with dread running constantly. This is not gentle or comforting in any way. It suits players who want dense survival horror, uncompromising atmosphere and a grim, mysterious town to pick apart, rather than anyone seeking relief or warmth.
